Fresh Tradition VIII '14

Despite the humidity, I had an exceptionally fun time at the most anticipated fashion show, Fresh Traditions VIII! Presented by CHAT and premiered at the Grain Belts Studio on September 27, 2014. The stunning collections wow the crowd in it's artistic effort of mixing traditional Hmong patterns with modern every day wear. Five designers with five different unique styles came together to designate a wondrous night of exquisite fashion. Make sure to check out the short clip below to see what was at the event. Also Check out the designers facebook page to see their style!
The featured designers are: Hill Tribe Fusion, Mai See Heurh, Kia M. Kehrer, Ceceil Lee, Pafoua Vang Xiong, and Vanessa Vu

Outfit of the night:
It looks like the wide leg trend is taking over! From NYFW to Paris fashion week, these pants are dominating the fashion world once again. They are looking even sexier than before with a variety of fabrics and prints. I have searched many places to find the right palazzo pants for myself. I wanted one that is solid color, decent price and fit for petite. Who knew I would find palazzo pants at the Hmong Village flea market for only 15 bucks. Lucky finder. Also, the mustard yellow is a perfect color that serenades the fall season. People may wonder why they are so trendy in the fashion market. There are many reasons why women adore them. First of all, they are extremely comfortable. It usually comes in soft and lightweight fabric that doesn't irritate but rather serve comfort to the skin. The pants are very wide, which make it special for movements. Second of all, palazzo pants are flattering and makes women's legs look longer. Especially for petite like me, I love bottoms that make me feel tall! Last but not least, palazzo pants can be casual wear and/or formal wear. It doesn't matter when or where you wear it. Just make sure that you find the right top for those palazzo pants!
